The Fairmont Royal York Hotel opened in 1929 as the tallest building in the British Empire and has stood the test of time. Today, the hotel’s ownership group, KingSett Capital, InnVest Hotels and Ivanhoé Cambridge are undertaking exciting renovations to the hotel’s lobby, food and beverage offering and meeting spaces and the property’s ultra-luxury “hotel within a hotel” the Fairmont Gold, will be completely redeveloped, creating one of the best luxury offerings in the city.
