Toronto's Transit Transformation
Over the past 10 years, the Greater Toronto Area’s number one political issue has been transit. It’s been the focus of recent elections and unending public debates at City Hall and in the media. Everyone has an opinion.
Obscured by all the talk, has been a remarkable transformation of the GTA’s transit infrastructure. The Union Pearson rail link is operating; the subway extension to York University and Vaughan will be open this fall; the Eglinton Crosstown construction is well underway; the Presto fare system has been successfully deployed across the GTA; a remarkable expansion of Union Station is nearing completion; the transformation of Pearson into a new transit hub is moving forward; and, the approval process for creating a transit web of electrified trains across southern Ontario is underway.
Please join us Thursday November 9th to hear two of the key leaders guiding this growth talk about Toronto’s Transit Transformation.
Toronto City Councillor, Josh Colle, the TTC Chairman, is working with the TTC team to transform the City’s transit agency.
Bill Henry, President of Crosslinx Transit Solutions, heads up the consortium of companies building the Eglinton LRT system.
